1 ) From Shanghai Airport to Shanghai Exhibition Center

From Hongqiao International Airport (mainly for domestic flights) – locates at the west border of Shanghai, 15 km away from city centre.

By Taxi:
about RMB 25 – 30, 20 minutes.

By Airport Bus:
take Airport Special Line to City Air Terminal (城市航站樓) which is close to Jing An Temple (靜安寺), then 15 – 20 minutes walk to Shanghai Exhibition Center. (RMB 4, duration: around 30 minutes, service hour: 07:50 – last flight from airport)

By Public Bus:
take bus No. 925A, get off either at Shanxi Rd North (陝西北路) or Shimen Yi Road Station (石門一路) , then 10 – 15 minutes walk to Shanghai Exhibition Center. (service hour: 06:00 – 23:00 from airport, duration: 25 – 30 minutes, RMB 2 – 4).

From Pudong International Airport (mainly for international flights) – locates near the entrance of the Chang Jiang (Yangzi River), east-west border of Pudong district in Shanghai, 40 km away from city centre.

By Taxi:
about RMB 160 – 200, 45 minutes.

By Magnetic Levitation Train & Mass Transit:
on airport Arrival hall 2nd floor, get Magnetic Levitation Train (RMB 50 single economy, RMB 80 same-day round trip economy; duration: around 10 minutes; service hour: 07:02 – 21:02, in almost15 minutes) direct to Longyang Rd (龍陽路) metro station which is in Line 2. From Longyang Rd (龍陽路), go directly to & get off either at Jing An Temple (靜安寺站) or Nanjing West Road (南京西路), in the same Line 2. From either stops, walk 15 – 20 minutes to Shanghai Exhibition Center (RMB 4, duration: 20 – 30 minutes). Total approximate journey time: 45 – 55 minutes, fare: RMB 57.

By Airport Bus:
at the Arrival hall Exit 7, get Airport Bus Line No. 2 to City Air Terminal (城市航站樓) which is close to Jing An Temple (靜安寺), then 15 – 20 minutes walk to Shanghai Exhibition Center. (RMB 19, duration: around 60 minutes, service hour: 07:00 – 23:00 from airport)

2 ) From Shanghai Railway Station (上海火車站) to Shanghai Exhibition Center

By Shanghai Metro:
directly from there to People ’s Square (人民廣場) station in same Metro Line 1. Interchange to Line 2 & get off at either Jing An Temple (靜安寺站) or Nanjing West Road (南京西路), walk 15 – 20 minutes to the center. (RMB 3, duration 10 – 15 mins)

By Public Bus:
take bus No. 104, get off at Middle Yan An Road (延安中路) (duration: 15 – 20 minutes, RMB 2).
 
3 ) Getting around Shanghai using Mass Transit

Shanghai has 8 Metro lines now: No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 & 9. They cover the main city scenery, hotels, commercial, shopping areas and tourist spots. The Metro is the most convenient transportation in Shanghai. Fare ranges from RMB 3 – 8.

4 ) General information of Taxi in Shanghai

Taxi is operated under different companies which has it distinct taxi color but all running 24 hours a day with two different fare on daytime (05:00 – 23:00) and on nighttime (23:00 – 05:00) respectively.

- During daytime, the basic fare is RMB11 for first 3km, RMB 2.1 for each additional 1km between 3km to 10km, RMB 3.2 for each additional 1km farther than 10km.

- During nighttime, the fare is RMB 14 for first 3km, RMB 2.7 for each additional 1km within 10km in total, and RMB 4.1 for farther than 10km.

- Every 5-minutes waiting time is converted to 1 km.
