Chinese Visa – Visa application
A travel visa is required for all overseas visitors to mainland China. The visa should be obtained from the Chinese Visa Office in your home country before leaving.
Visitors from most countries or regions can also apply for a visa in Hong Kong, but please allow at least 4 working days for processing the normal visa, 3 working days for the urgent visa, and 2 working day for the very urgent visa. Some travel agents in Hong Kong also provide services for Chinese visa application.
Some visitors can apply for the Express visa (landing visa) to Shenzhen at Lo Wu Immigration. Make sure your passport is eligible to apply for a visa in Hong Kong /Lo Wu, or else obtain a visa before you come to Hong Kong.
Please prepare double or multi-entry visa in case travelling in/out mainland China several times.
